Types of Maintenance

Preventative

Borri can fully maintain and service all brands of UPS in the European market. In the UK we have a team of nationwide UPS engineers who have many years in the industry and are all fully trained to factory standards on most brands of UPS. This invaluable experience and training means we can attend your site with all the knowledge and skills needed to keep your UPS in its original working condition thereby ensuring optimum performance and minimising the risk of failure. When your UPS is due for its preventative maintenance visit, our service department will liase with you to arrange a convenient time for the engineer to attend site.

The service visit incorporates environmental checks, visual inspection, electrical and mechanical testing of all the UPS functions and sub-assemblies. The history of the UPS, since the previous visit, is checked for any anomalies and the bypass line and batteries tested. Where possible, the manufacturer’s diagnostic software is connected for further in-depth testing and applicable software updates uploaded.

Our engineer records all measurements for analysis by our service centre staff. Should measurements reach an unacceptable limit, our service team will provide you with a detailed report highlighting any current or potential problems together with recommendations for further action.

Reactive

In the unlikely event of a fault occurring between preventative visits, we are equipped to undertake emergency reactive maintenance. Our engineers are based at key locations throughout the UK, enabling us to carry out a rapid onsite response. Our UPS spare parts holding is one of the largest in the industry, which allows us to rectify most problems during one visit to site.

Our service is also enhanced with the use of our 24-hour call centre - just log your details and an engineer will be in contact to make an initial diagnosis of the fault and offer assistance over the telephone before we despatch one of our “on-call” team to your site.

Teleservice monitoring

Teleservice monitoring software is available for remotely monitoring the UPS. It supplies Borri’s service centre with UPS alarms, measurements, status information and event logs, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We can alert you to a problem and have an engineer on the way to site often before your aware of the problem yourself.
