UPS Maintenance FAQs
Why do I need my UPS maintained?
The main reason for purchasing UPS is because downtime is unthinkable. The best way to maximise the working life of your UPS is with a high quality maintenance programme. Using the manufacturer’s diagnostic software, written testing schedule, trained engineers and the best quality parts we can ensure your investment in uninterruptible power pays dividends throughout the UPS lifetime.
Why do I need my generator serviced?
After the initial installation and commissioning of a standby generator, it may sit quietly for months before being called to action. The only way to ensure your generator will start when you need it most is through regular servicing and maintenance. The filters, oils, liquids, belts & hoses all need replacing as required, or when recommended by the manufacturer. By choosing Borri to maintain your equipment you can have peace of mind knowing our generator will work when it is needed.
Why should my batteries be tested?
In theory, UPS batteries usually have a 5 or 10-year standby design life, however this is rarely achieved. As deteriorating batteries can compromise the effectiveness of the entire emergency supply, it is essential for them to be regularly tested. We can perform discharge, load bank or impedance tests to ensure maximum performance from the battery set.
