All static UPS rely on batteries to support the critical load in the event of mains interruption. As batteries fuel the UPS it is vital to ensure their reliability. Although regular maintenance and ideal environmental conditions can extend the working life of the batteries, they will eventually need replacing.

The Borri service team provides a complete battery replacement service for any make and model of UPS systems. We undertake everything from the initial site survey and battery calculations through to delivery and installation of the new batteries and the environmental disposal of the old batteries.

Borri undertakes work on all the leading manufacturers’ batteries and our service team can source the best-suited replacement for your existing set. We also maintain a large stock holding in our UK warehouse, which means that in an emergency we can replace even the largest of battery sets usually within 48 hours.

Battery testing

We provide a battery testing service to keep your battery installation at optimum condition. If detected quickly, a relatively simple single block replacement or adjustment of charging characteristics can prevent the need for a costly battery set replacement.

We undertake load bank, discharge and impedance testing which enables us to see the true performance of your batteries in their current state. A written report is issued highlighting any areas of concern together with any recommendations.
